Florida Expungements

Removing The Past for a Better Tomorrow

STATEWIDE REPRESENTATION

Florida Expungements...

...is the culmination of many years of work in the area of sealing and expunging criminal arrests that have occurred in the State of Florida.  Being arrested starts a long process of what we typically think of as a criminal record.  What it really means is the bureaucratic morass of "public records."  An arrest (being booked into a jail) sends information to State agencies who then forward this information to the FBI.  Anytime anything is filed with government, including the County Clerk's Office, it becomes a public record - this includes all criminal files.  This means that today, in the information age, anyone with a computer can look up a criminal file online through the Clerk's website.  This information can have devastating effects on people wrongfully arrested and those that have paid their debt to society.
