Ohio law does allow a criminal conviction to be expunged if you are a
first time offender and the Court decides, in its discretion, that the
interest in having your record sealed outweighs any public interest. A
first time offender is someone who has not previously or subsequently been
convicted of any criminal offense. There are also specific time frames in
which to request expungement.
Ohio law also allows for the sealing of records when the criminal case
against a person is dismissed or that person is acquitted of the charge.
If you are interested in have your criminal conviction expunged or a
criminal charge that has been dismissed or you have been acquitted of
sealed, please contact our office to discuss your case in more detail.
